The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kaduna State chapter has disclosed some of the activities billed to take place within its 2016 WEEK which commences on December 5.
Chairman of Kaduna chapter of SWAN, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin made this known at their congress held on Friday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
He disclosed that after consultations and deliberations at the executive meeting, according to him, the WEEK will begin with competitions featuring all the chapels in the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Those that will be presented awards are the Governor of Kaduna State, who will be presented with Grand Patron Award.
Others are Chairman Kaduna State Volleyball Association, Engineer Musa Nimrod, Director Grassroots Sports Development, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ademola Are, League Management Company (LMC) boss, Shehu Dikko, Chairman of Dynamic Sports Solutions (DSS) Mr. Sunday Adeleye, Mr. Ogbonna Wadson, Kaduna State Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Seceretary Malam Abdulrazak Usman, among others.
In the corporate category, Nigerian Breweries Plc and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) will be awarded for contributing to sports development.
