The new Commissioner of Kaduna State Police Command. Mr. Agyole Abeh has said that due to the vest nature of the state, the number of personel presently in his command cannot cover the whole state.
The Commissioner said this while parading 27 suspected criminals for various criminal activities such as kidnapping, armed robbery and car snatching, cattle rustler among others.
According to him, even if they should deploy the whole police officers from two other states commands to Kaduna, it cannot cover all communities of the state, hence the need to partner with community leaders and other stakeholders in order to ensure a crime free and safety of lives and property in the society.
The CP added that in his bid to ensure crime is reduced to
the barest minimum, his command has come up with a robust measure such as extending its partnership to youths of the various communities in order ensure that residents the state go about their duties and business in a peaceful environment.
According him, his command has put in place patrol teams in strategic locations and high ways as part of the measure to ensure a crime free society which according to him, enable them to recover some of the items which include, locally made revolver with four live ammunition, vehicles, 18 lives cattle among others.
Parading the suspects at the police Headquarters, Mr. Abeh explained that the suspects were arrested at different dates
and locations in the state.
