Team Kaduna and hosts Sokoto dominated the podium as the North West Zone U-15 Indoor Volleyball Championship ended on Sunday.
Team Kaduna girls picked gold after defeat Sokoto by two 2-1 in the final which was keenly contested by both teams.
They played 25-19, 15-25 and 15-8 for the Nimrod girls to carry the day and snatch the gold trophy.
Hosts however, came up stronger in the male final as they retaliated and beat Team Kaduna also by 2-1 to claim the well deserved gold .
They played 25-19, 17-25 and 15-7 to carry the day.
Kaduna make team settled for the silver.
The championship sponsored by the President NIgeria Volleyball Federation NVBF, Engineer Musa Nimrod servesld off on February 25 at the Giginya Stadium Sokoto and ended on February 27.
The second edition of the North-West Zone U-15 Indoor Volleyball tagged “Sokoto 2022” is targeted at discovering talents at the grassroots.
The North West Zone comprises Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Jigawa, Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto states.
