Kaduna State Ministry of Justice has organised a one-day capacity building scheme for district prosecutors in Kaduna State.
In her her remarks at the event, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Aisha Dikko said that the scheme when implemented, will see to the proper and effective dispensation of criminal justice system in the state.
The Attorney General also noted that it will help in reducing and decongesting lower and superior courts.
Dikko further explained that the training would give them the required knowledge to execute the scheme efficiently and effectively.
She said for the accomplishment of the scheme, there is need to keep all stakeholders in the criminal justice sector abreast of the success of the scheme.
While hoping that partners in the scheme, the police prosecutors will give their full support for its success and to work together to ensure steady implementation.
According to her, there is going to be subsequent engagements between the police prosecutors and ministry of justice.
“It is a continuous training after every three months, to make the scheme better and to also meet up with the dynamic evolving nature of the scheme.
“I want us to embrace the scheme passionately and utilise the knowledge gained to apply in the implementation and execution of the scheme,” she said.
The workshop was organised in collaboration with the administration of criminal justice monitoring committee.
