Kaduna Killings: Reps weep at the sight of victims, destruction

The member representing Kauru Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rep Simon Arabo wept uncontrollably when he visited the attacked communities and said what happened was heart breaking.
Arabo who could not control his emotion at the scene of the incidents said: “This is heart breaking. It’s sad and unfortunate that innocent citizens are being killed by murderous people for just no reason.”
“I am calling on the government to know that the security situation is increasingly worse especially in the rural communities. The government must rise to the challenge and come to the aid of the innocent ones whose houses and food have been destroyed,” Arabo said.
Meanwhile, the Youth Leader of Kizitin community, one of the four communities that were attacked in Kauru LGA of Kaduna state, Mr Ramson Joshua has said that they were cut unaware due to poor roads and lack of mobile network communications.
Speaking to journalists in Kinziti community, Joshua said what happened was sad because several people were killed.
The youth leader who said the gunmen invaded the communities at about 5pm on Sunday, disclosed that 31 corpses have so far been found adding that they can’t go into the bushes to search for other their missing people for the fear of been killed by the attackers.
“There is still panic in other communities because we’ve not been able to move into the bushes in search of others that are missing,” Joshua said adding, “We were cut unaware because of lack of network communication and poor roads but the coming of the military men to the area save the situation,” Joshua added.
Also speaking, the immediate past Chairman of Kauru LGA, Hon Musa Waziri, said when he received the information, the military men were contacted who immediately rushed to the communities. Musa described the killings as unfortunate.
