Kaduna: Kaura LGA Stakeholders Vow To Champion Peaceful Co-existence

Stakeholders in Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State have promised to partner government at enhancing peaceful co-existence that would pave way for speedy development.
Giving their assurance over the weekend at the local government secretariat, Kaura, traditional rulers, religious organizations, security agencies, community development associations, civil societies and political leaders gave the assurance in good will message during an engagement meeting of BEWERS project, organized by Youth in Support of Community Development (YOTASCID), Zonkwa.
In his good will message Dr. Yakubu Bityong of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, representing Kaura LGA, who was represented by by Mr. Yoni expressed gratitude to God and organizers of the meeting, describing it as a patriotic service and urged residents of the area to shun all divisive tendencies and step up peaceful co –existence that developmental projects and programmes; noting that investment can only thrive in a violence free society.
Their highnesses, the chief of Moroa, Dr. TagwaiSambo and the AgwamTakad, Mr Tobias Nkom Wada, were not left out in calling on members of the public, to fear God, strive to do good and live in peace with one another, irrespective of the differences which can guarantee the area to enjoy dividends of democracy, assuring they will not relent in contributing to the reign of peace in their domains.
The administrator of the Local Government, Zitung Basahuwa Agog represented by the Director of Personnel Management, applauded the organizers of the meeting for their laudable initiative, which he said is capable of repositioning the community for meaningful progress, promising to work all stake – holders, to transform the area into a home of peace, a hub of industrialization and economic development.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Mr. Linus Isangba commended the peace initiators, emphasizing that personal and community peace, which he said is vital for human development, assuring that the police will not relent at partnering government and other security agencies in protecting lives and properties.
He solicited the co-operation of every citizen, with the police to enable the achievement of a crime free society.
Representative of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Jama’atul Nasir Islam (JNI) and Miyetti – Allah, welcome the peace initiative with assurance to work with government and other Stake – holder to lay a solid foundation for a harmonious relationship, for progress.
Earlier in a welcome address, YOTASCID representative, Mr Bamidele Fagbi and Mr. Zakkah Alex Jerry said the aims and objective of the meeting was to build peace and champion restoration of trust among the diverse ethnic and religious communities, especially those that suffered from violent crisis.
They solicited the cooperation of all to facilitate the achievement of set goals.
