Ex- Chief of Staff to Governor Nasir el-Rufai, Muhammad Sani Dattijo on Tuesday, declared interest to run in 2023 Kaduna Guber election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dattijo, now a Commissioner for Special Duties, Kaduna State, expressed interest to succeed el-Rufai amidst cheers from party supporters, vowing to sustain the ongoing developmental projects of his boss.
Dattijo’s declaration is coming one week after another political ally of el-Rufai, Senator Uba Sani made his intention public to succeed the current occupant of Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House.
Dattijo believes his age would be a great advantage to effectively run the state and provide visionary leadership to people of Kaduna.
His experience with global and international finance giants, he declared, would be used to the advantage of the state in attracting foreign investors to develop business and infrastructural potentials of capital of the defunct Northern Region.
The former United Nations employee taunted his cosmopolitan persona, advocating for modern style of governance which he said, is the quickest way to effectively change people’s orientation to see leadership as building sustainable development capable of serving generations yet unborn.
He solicited votes of the electorate, pledging not to disappoint them by ensuring the protection of their interests and those of their families.
