Kaduna Electric MD Joins Kebbi State Governorship Race



The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Engr. Garba Haruna, Garkuwan Kabi has been cleared by the National leadership of the People Democratic Party (PDP) to participate in the May 2022 primary for the gubernatorial election in the state.
A statement by the media consultant of the Garkuwan Kabi Campaign Organisation, Idris Muhammad said, Engr. Garba was cleared to contest in the PDP Gubernatorial primary scheduled for 22 May this year after satisfying all party requirements and proving his credentials to the Screening Committee.
He assured PDP members in the State that Engr. Garba Haruna is the only candidate that has the mental proficiency, administrative experience and capability to wrestle power from the failed APC Government in the State.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Kaduna Electric and a Gubernatorial aspirant under the auspices of the People Democratic Party (PDP), in Kebbi State, Engr. Garba Haruna has called on  youth in the State not to allow themselves to be used as instrument of destabilisation.
He made the call today in Argungu while addressing thousands of youth who trooped out in their thousands to welcome him after successfully scaling the Party Gubernatorial screening earlier in the week. 
Engr Garba Haruna who described the youth as future leaders and the catalyst of development of the State pledged to channeled appropriate resources towards youth’s education and sustainable development if elected as the Governor of the State comes 2023.
“We shall place significant priority to youth empowerment through repositioning of our educational system by giving due consideration to ICT, computer engineering and artificial intelligence”, he said.
The electricity boss turned politician enjoys mass support from youth, women and small scale entrepreneurs who are largely the beneficiaries of the interventions and development initiatives of the Garkuwan Kabi Foundation which he is the Patron.
