The Commissioner of Education, Kaduna State, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Makarfi has expressed satisfaction with the level of arrangement done for this year’s Common Entrance Examinations conducted throughout the state.
He made the commendation while inspecting some examination centers in Zaria.
The Commissioner said sitting arrangement and distribution of exams materials was very good and hoped to maintain the system.
According to him, there is more to be done in schools and education to close the gap which was created between the public and private schools.
Alhaji Shehu Muhammad who expressed anger over what he described as an unacceptable issue that is going in the public primary schools, lack of commitment from the side of the teachers.
He said very soon Kaduna State Government will employ 7,600 primary school teachers in order to improve the quality and standards.
“The state government is doing every to uplift the standard of education in the state,” he assured.
Some examinations centers visited are Alhudahu College, Barewa Collage and Science Secondary School Kufena.
The commissioner’s entourage included Permanent Secretary, Quality Assurance, Zonal Director M.O E Kaduna State and other stakeholders in education.
