The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on Tuesday, expressed satisfaction on work done at Millennium City for the healthcare of residents of the state.
Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe visited the General Specialist Hospital under construction at the Millennium City located in Kaduna.
Hadiza, inspected the Specialist Hospital which has the capacity of over 300 beds.
She expressed her satisfaction on the work done so far, while taken round the vicinity of the hospital.
According to her, the 300-bed Specialist Hospital is being constructed by Kaduna State Government at Millennium City, as an ultramodern hospital.
Dr. Hadiza disclosed that the state government has already procured equipment to be installed in the hospital once civil works are completed by the new contractor.
“Oncology and a Research units will be incorporated for the treatment of cancer and research of complex health cases,” she said, while assuring the people of the state that quality service will be rendered to patients after the completion.
It would be recalled that the Specialist Hospital located at Millinieum City in Chikun Local Government of Kaduna State has suffered contractual setbacks in the past.
This began in 2008 under the former Governor of Kaduna State, Architect Muhammad Namadi Sambo.
The Specialist Hospital has been re-awarded to Terraina Construction (Nigeria) Limited, for completion and the contractor promised to complete the construction in nine months.
