Kaduna Community Health Practitioners Task Govt Employing More Colleagues

Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria Kaduna State Chapter has appealed to Kaduna State Government to employ more of its members to bridge the existing gaps in the health sector.

Chairman of the Association, Comrade Ibrahim Lawal Suleiman made the call during the state delegate conference held at Tudun Wada Kaduna.

He explained that the community health practitioners in Kaduna State were trained to work in both urban and rural communities.

Comrade Ibrahim Lawal Suleiman also commended the Kaduna State government for being the first in the country to adopt full  implementation of bringing primary healthcare under one roof initiative.

” Let me congratulate Governor  Mallam Nasir el-Rufai for his transformation agenda in the health sector, especially for upgrading and equipping 255 primary healthcare centers in the state.

Declaring the lecture open, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Mohammed Baloni urged the community health practitioners to adhere strictly to the code of ethics  of the profession, which would help in improving health sector in the state.

She assured that the government would continue to accord priority to the conducive working environment for health workers in the state.

In his paper presentation titled, “proving code of professional conduct ethics and etiquette for community health practitioners”,  the Zonal Coordinator SPHCB, Zone 1 Zaria, Mohammed Madaki Mandara challenged community health practitioners to protect the information of their patients all the times.

He said confidentiality is part of their professional ethics which each and every one is expected to observe.

During the tenure of this executive under Comrade Ibrahim Lawal Suleiman, they built and furnished a permanent secretariat of the association with two departmental shops as well as purchased official vehicle.
