Kaduna commences Sales of 2016 Hajj seats

Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration of 2016 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this Monday.
This is contained in a statement issued in Kaduna and signed by Assistant Director, Public Relations of the Board, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the registration will be conducted in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
While addressing the Local Government registration officers at the board headquater in Kaduna, Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) of the board, Barrister Umar Mustapha Danraka advised intending pilgrims who wish to perform the pilgrimage through the board to present themselves at the registration centre as there will be no registration by proxy.
The statement said intending female pilgrims would only be registered with their male chaperons (Muharam) in line with the Saudi Arabian Government’s regulations.
Danraka urged the pilgrim officers to adhere strictly to the guidelines of the registration.
According to the guidelines, only new pilgrims will be registered. Pregnant women and old people who have no chaperons will not be registered.
A minimum deposit of eight hundred thousand naira will be paid by the intending pilgrims in a designated bank account of the board pending the announcement of the Hajj fare by the National Hajj Commission.
He advised all intending pilgrims to visit their respective local government for the exercise.
