Kaduna APC Suspends Senator Hunkuyi, Expels Shinko, 27 Others

Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have  suspended Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi from the party.
The decision was taken at its emergency State Executive Committee meeting at the party’s state headquarters which ended around 7pm on Friday night.
Briefing the press after the meeting, acting state secretary, Honourable Yahaya Baba Pate said that also sanctioned with disciplinary action, is Major Yahaya Shinko and 27 others for dragging the oarty to court.
He explained that Senator Hunkuyi was suspended for roles in floating a parallel office of the party in the state.
Speaking further, he said the SEC also agreed on a time-table of its activities ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
“By Monday we will make the time-table available to your members of press,” he added.
Also speaking, the speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Aminu Shagali said that himself and other members back the party in the decisions taken.
Speaking further, he explained that they also commend the party on its membership drive in all the local government areas of the state.
The meeting commenced at about 4:30pm and the Deputy Governor, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex was spotted.
Chieftains of the party in Kaduna as well as members of the House of Assembly were also spotted.
