Just In: Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oyewunmi Dies At 95

The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh  Oladunni Oyewumi, aged 95 is dead.
New Nigerian reliably gathered that was Oba Oyewumi joined his ancestors early Sunday in Ogbomoso .
Sources close to the Soun of Ogbomoso said as at the time of sending this story, the death of Oba Oyewunmi is yet to be officially announced by the palace but that the traditional chiefs in the ancient town are to meet today on the development.
Oba Oyewumi was born on May 27, 1926 in Ogbomoso to Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi Ajagungbade II ascended the throne as the Soun of Ogbomoso on October 24, 1973.
He had his elementary education at St. Patrick Primary School, Oke Padre, Ibadan from 1932-1938.  In 1938, he attended the Ogbomoso People’s Institute, which was later transformed into Ogbomoso Grammar School.
