The Jama’tu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah has preached peaceful coexistence and unity among Christian and Islamic faithful in the country, calling on all Nigerians to live in peace and harmony irrespective of one’s religious or tribal affiliation.
The National Chairman of the group, Abdullahi Bala Lau, stated this during an event titled “National Preaching Jos 2018” held in Jos Sunday.
He said Nigerians should not be allowed to be used to be divided along religious or tribal affiliation, urging all religious followers to embrace one another for the unification of the land.
“We came to Jos purposefully to preach coexistence among Nigerians. Nigeria is our country and there is no any other country better than it. We should be watchful and never allowed selfish individuals to use them. So we came to Jos to pray for harmony among Nigerians.
While calling on politicians not to devide Nigerians, the Chairman further applauded the Plateau State, governor Simon Bako Lalong for his passion for peace in the state , calling on governors of Taraba and Benue States to emulate Lalong to achieving political and Economic development in their states .
He said, Nigeria is at the verge of collapse and eventual disintegration due to action of political class.
