JAAC: Kaduna Govt Tasks LG Chairmen To Utilize Funds Judiciously

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe has charged local government chairmen in the state to judiciously use funds allocated to them for the common good of the citizens of the state.

Dr Balarabe made the call during the Plenary Session of the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) for the month of September 2023, today  at the Ministry for Local Government Affairs and Chieftaincy conference Hall in kaduna.

The Deputy Governor who’s also the Chairman of the JAAC, charged the chairmen to be up and doing not to disappoint governor Uba Sani as the governor has good plans for the state.

Also speaking, the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,  Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos,  said that the ministry will not hesitate to carryout monitoring activities to ensure that what is meant for the people at the grassroots is duly given to them.

Mamman while charging the council chairmen, during the technical session of Kaduna State Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee Meeting for the month of September, said the ministry remains committed towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the  people of Kaduna State in line with the vision of the state governor, Senator Uba Sani.

He added that the governor has pledged total commitment to carrying out a people-oriented democracy with a focus on peace and prosperity of the state and therefore, all hands must be on deck to achieve the goal without any form of failure.

The commissioner said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Kaduna State is indebted to traditional, community and religious leaders who are fostering an atmosphere of peace,  while appreciating the efforts of APC leaders at all levels for their tireless efforts and commitment.

He said, “the ministry will be monitoring the activities as fund made for the people should be used judiciously for those it is meant for. 

“I also advise you to make sure that you delivered in your various LGAs and bring dividend of democracy to the people because that was the campaign promises made by governor Uba Sani and therefore we must work tirelessly to support the government so we can succeed together.”
