The Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee, a group under the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN has written the Nigeria Senate, demanding the release of their leader, Sheik Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.
In a letter addressed to the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and signed by Sheikh Abdulhameed Bello, the group also called on the Nigerian Senate and the House of Representatives to release their committees’ reports in the
last year’s December killings in Zaria.
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria said contrary to the ‘blackmail’ by some people that it did not recognise the Nigerian government, it has attended several meetings convened by the National Assembly which is one
of the arms of government.
