*commends executing of developmental projects

Sheikh Sheriff Ibrahim Saleh Al-Hussain, who is a renowned Islamic scholar and international cleric of repute, on Sunday, commended Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State for executing tremendous developmental projects across the state that are people oriented and touch the lives of the common man in the society.
He also appreciated the bold steps and courage the governor has embraced to ensure peace and harmony return to the devastated state, following the 12 years old Boko Haram insurgency, despite the visible and invisible challenges.
Sheriff Saleh who is also the National President of Nigerian National Dawa’a Committee, stated this in his address at the closing of the 2022 Maulud Nabiyyi SAW which he usually organizes annually at Sheriff Saleh Al Hussaini Zawiya, located at Gwange area of Maiduguri City.
Represented by his eldesr son, Sheikh Mamman Saleh Sheriff, Al Hussaini, said the governor has tremendously brought to the state, positive development and his passion for the promotion of peace and sustainability of people’s livelihood in rural and urban areas, especially, the resettled communities, impressed majority of the poor masses in the state and even outsiders
In his remarks as the Special Guest of Honour, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum could not hide his feelings and excitement with the large mammoth crowd that converged at the Zawiya venue of the Maulud Nabiyyi SAW while expressing his gratitude for the honour done to him and the special invitation given for him to attend the significant gathering .
Zulum called on the Muslim faithful to always propagate and promote peace and unity among themselves while assuring his support to the Zawiyya at all times, while requesting that a handful of educated and qualified members of the Zawiyya be forwarded to him for employment and support.
The Speaker Borno State House of Assembly, BOSHA, Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, APC Borno Central Senatorial District Candidate, Barr Kaka Shehu Lawan, APC Monguno, Nganzai and Marte Federal Constituency Candidate, Engr Bukar Talba , Members of Borno State House of Assembly, State Executive Council, SAs, SSAs and other top government officials were on the Governor’s entourage.
Highlights of the event include special prayers for peace, unity and stability to reign in the state and country at large.
