The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared October 1, 2021 total shutdown in “Biafra” land as a sign of its rejection of Nigeria as a country.
The group stressd that there shall be no movement in Biafra land on the said day.
It also directed that all Nigerian flags mounted anywhere in Biafra land with the exception of banks should be brought down starting from Saturday, (September 25, 2021).
IPOB media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful in a statement said that IPOB leadership will communicate to Banks directly and give them reason they must peacefully bring down Nigeria flag in their banking premises before it do it its own way.
The statement read in part, “Everybody must strictly adhere to this directives from IPOB leadership, we want to let the world know you that Biafraland is not Nigeria and shall not be. Don’t say I don’t know, a word is enough for the wise.”
It slso called on Biafrans to support and celebrate Ambazonia Independence Anniversary on October 1st 2021.
According to the group, the gesture is in line with a Memorandum of Understanding, (MOU) and alliance between Ambazonia and Biafra nations
IPOB stressed that the brothers and sisters in Ambazonia are also passing through persecutions in the hands of murderous Cameroonian Government just like Biafrans are facing similar ordeals in the hands of Fulani controlled federal government of Nigeria that sympathatises with terrorsts but kills peaceful agitators .
“It is the delight of the Directorate Of State, DOS of our great movement, IPOB, that we inform Biafrans all over the world of this up-coming Independence Day Celebration of our great ally and neighbour, the Ambazonian people billed for 1st of October 2021”, it added.
The group urged world leaders to use the opportunity of the on-going United Nations General Assembly, UNGA meeting to discuss the sufferings of the two persecuted nations of Biafra and Ambazonia, saying, “Our people have suffered enough in the hands of our oppressors who are in bed with terrorists but derive pleasure in crushing peaceful agitators instead of addressing our genuine concerns.
“The two old men leading Cameroon and Nigeria – Paul Biya, and Muhammed Buhari, should be made to answer for the on-going secret genocide by security operatives and Fulani jihadists against the peace-loving indigenous people of Biafra, and Ambazonia.
“Why have they chosen to decimate us but spare, encourage and even grant amnesty to murderous Fulani bandits on rampage throughout the whole North and Nigeria.”
