Comrade Musa Sani Dambatta is the vice chairmanship candidate for Dambatta local government council in the forthcoming local government election which was  scheduled to hold on February 10th. In this interview with our Kano State correspondent JABIRU A HASSAN, he disclosed that he  opted into active politics at the moment in order to offer his utmost  contribution towards the progress of the Nigerian politics, and to  bring more youth into Nigerian politics as leaders of tomorrow. Excerpts:
Can you tell the readers why you decided to vie into politics as a young man?

Well,  I am happy to meet our beloved and historic newspaper which was established by late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello (may his soul rest in peace). Secondly I thank Allah the Almighty for enabling me to have a discussion with the New Nigerian Newspapers  at this precious time when  I am deeply in politics.
But summarily,  I opted into active politics at my age in order to contribute to the Nigerian democracy and on the other hand, to bring our teaming youth into the game with an intention to build the nation which would also be our legacy when we are no longer in the system in future.
How did you started and what did you intend to do i politics?
Before i joined politics, I was into students associations where I held various positions at different levels, then I decided to join one of the nation’s political  parties after having consultations with family and friends where I picked APC as my party and  I am now a vice chairmanship candidate for Dambatta Local Government Council in the forthcoming election.
Did you contest any office previously before  accepting to run for  the vice chairmanship seat?
Certainly before I became a vice chairmanship candidate, I contested for the office of the chairman in Dambatta Local Government Council under the platform of our great party APC, but due to the intervention of our good leaders and by a mode of a consensus, I stepped down for the vice chairmanship because all what I hope is to give my contribution towards the development of Dambatta Local Government, Kano State and the country in general, and I am ready to offer my helping hands at all levels.
You chose APC as your political party, can you briefly give out some of it’s achievements as a ruling party?
Every Nigerian citizen is aware that APC is doing well  in every sector despite the challenges facing the nation’s economy. In this regard,  I commend his Excellency, President Muhammadu  Buhari  who is trying his best to see that all is well in this great nation although some of the citizens are still criticising his good efforts, but I know that majority of Nigerians agree that Buhari is changing the face of this country gradually.
Smilarly, Nigeria suffered for sixteen years under PDP regime therefore, nobody can clear all the mess in just close to three years yet those opponents are still groaning that president Buhari is not performing well which is not true,  in this respect,  I am calling on all well meaning Nigerian citizens to support Buhari’s policies because he is working very hard to see that our country has bounced back in every aspect of livelihood before the end of his tenure  as Nigerian constitution has  recommended.
How would you assess Kano State Government under Governor Ganduje as an APC stalwart?

His Excellency Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is also  trying his best in following the footsteps of President Muhammadu Buhari in changing the face of Kano State at all levels.
