Insurgency: NYSC to Resume Orientation Camp after four years in Adamawa State

All is now set to resume National Youths Service Corps (NYSC)
orientation camp in Adamawa state after four years following emergence of insurgency in the state.
Deputy Governor Engr. Martins Babale who made this known Wednesday while inspecting the new orientation camp site along Yola –Fofure road, maintained that Corps Members across the country are expected to resume their mandatory 2016 orientation exercise scheduled to take place next month in the camp.
He said government has concluded security arrangement to guarantee safety of Corps Members in the state,while lauding the good synergy existing between  security agencies in trying to rid the state of criminals and criminality.
He said the new camp which is a Boarding girls school was build
recently and located in fufore local government area of the state has all necessary facilities needed to host Corps Members from various institution of higher learning in the country.
“We have gotten all assurances from the military, police Nigerian
Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), DSS among others security agencies and I can say with confidence that Adamawa is safe and ready to host Corps Members henceforth.
“We have every reason to lauds Mr President, Muhammadu Buhari for his unrelenting efforts to eradicate insurgency in the North-East, and the good synergy between the security personnels in the state”. Babale Added.
Earlier, Commissioner for Youths and and Sports in the state , AugustineAyuba who  doubles as Chairman NYSC Governing Council, said the camp would be fumigated before the commencement of the exercise to eliminate reptiles and insects for hitch-free orientation execise for prospective Corps Members across Nigeria.
It would be recalled that NYSC suspend orientation of Corps Members in the state in 2011 following emergence of Insurgency in the North-East region which led to conversion of the permanent Orientation camp in Damare to IDPs camp,while coppers posted to the state were sent to neighboring states for orientation exercise.
