In an effort to find a lasting solution to rising insecurity, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate in 2023 general election, Hon. Usman Ibrahim, known as Sardaunan Badarawa has met a group of security specialists in Australia.
The Australian-based globally renown experts specialized in using technology and modern methods of fighting non-conventional warfare and other forms of insecurity would be utilized by Sardaunan Badarawa to curb banditry that has over the years ravaged some local governments in Kaduna Central Zone.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Campaign Council of Hon. Ibrahim, the politician has been unsettled by activities of bandits in Birnin-Gwari, Igabi, Kajuru, Giwa and Chikun local governments all in Kaduna Central Zone.
“So in his wisdom he scouted for a reputable security firm whose name will be left wrapped for now for security reasons to find a lasting solution to banditry in his constituency which has cost many lives and property.
“Many farmers could no longer go to their farmlands, with some relocating to cities, abandoning their source of livelihood inherited from predecessors.
“It seems the present administrations both at state and federal level are powerless or don’t want to solve the problem once and for all, while our people are left at the mercy of these heartless bandits who impose tax on rural dwellers before getting access to farmland.
“I am worried, really worried and disturbed by this sad development which has lingered for years now, denying my people a peaceful and productive life.
“Thus, I made a remarkable move in preemptive way to see how We can get a sustainable and workable solution using technology and modern craft to tackle the problem headlong.
“So by the time we get elected, we will hit the ground running by deploying these experts who would work in synergy with our own security personnel and in collaboration with the locals to assist in curbing the menace.
“Our gallant men in uniform have been doing their best, many have paid the supreme price with their lives fighting these evil men.
“All they need is a pop-up and modern equipment to save their lives and overcome the bandits.
“Look at how wars are fought today using drones and guided missiles which save lives of troops who don’t have to out boots on ground before defeating their adversaries.
“We will adopt a similar method to set an example for others to follow, “he assured.
