Ebonyi State Police Command has commenced investigation into the gruesome murder of an Ebubeagu security operative, saying that all those involved in the crime shall be arrested and prosecuted in accordance to the law.
The Police Command spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah while confirming the incident on Friday March 26, 2022 stated that Christian Nwiboko, a 26+year old man was killed by unknown gunmen on Thursday night at his family compound, Nduogbuovu Community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and therefore, condemned the act, describing it as unfortunate, wicked and barbaric.
The police added that the command has commenced full investigation to unravel those behind the incident.
“The command has started investigation into the incident and a serious manhunt has commenced to ensure that the perpetrators of such a heinous crime are brought to book.
“The Commissioner of Police, Mr Aliyu Garba, has ordered for a serious manhunt in the area. I assure you, our officers will work round the clock to arrest those involved,” she said.
It would be recalled that a number of Ebubeagu security personnel have lost their lives in different parts of Ebonyi State since it resumed operations in the state.
