Insecurity: Group Provides Foodstuff To Mercy Orphanage Home Kaduna

Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), alongside their partners, Lotus Bank. have donated foodstuff.worth thousands of Naira to Mercy Orphanage Home, Romi, Kaduna in order to cushion the suffering majority  are going through in Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and orphanage homes, following the security challenges in the country.

It would be recalled that many camps have been created by Internally Displaced Persons while orphanage homes have been increased with children, as a result of killings leaving orphans spreading all over, with no where to lay their heads.

The National President, Abubakar Isah said the aim of donating the foodstuff is to ameliorate the sufferings of those affected, especially children by the security challenges that have bedevilled most parts of the country, stressing that most of the orphans have found themselves in orphanage homes and IDP camps in order to survive.

He noted that the situation is so pathetic, lamenting the ongoing security situation in the country, adding that the situation is so alarming and needs urgent steps by those in authority to save Nigerians who have been rendered homeless, while some children have had their parents killed by terrorists. 

The aim of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), in partnership with Lotus Bank, according to Abubakar Isah, is to contribute their quota to alleviating the suffering many Nigerians.

He stated, “There is the urgent need for individuals, organisations to come to the aid of most Nigerians whose means of livelihood have been totally destroyed by terrorists. Majority are suffering following the destruction being rendered to them without any meaningful assistance from those in authority.

“The situation of the victims is so devastating that most of those affected by the insecurity need the assistance of their fellow Nigerians to ensure they come back to life. Most children whose parents have been killed are roaming the streets aimlessly while the fortunate one are either in IDPs or in orphanage homes in order to survive.”

Responding, a staff of the Mercy Orphanage Home, Romi, Kaduna, Mrs Naomi Moses thanked the youth group for their timely assistance, asking for God’s blessings upon all their endeavours and their efforts to help the needy in the society.

Some children from the Mercy Orphanage Home prayed for God’s blessings in all that the group do in life and thanked the group for providing the orphanage home with what to feed on.
