Few days after he was sworn-in as the Chairman of Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KASAVA), Engineer Musa Nimrod has hit the ground running by inaugurating board members.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman Media and Publicity Committee and board member, Kaduna State Volleyball Association, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the inauguration was held at the Media Centre, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday January 21.
In his address, Engineer Musa Nimrod said that the inauguration is to speed up activities.
“NVBF in 2022 is choked up. While looking at the national, we also need to be focused so that we don’t lose a grip.
“What people don’t understand is that they think government gives money for sporting activities. Our members should know that this is interest. There is little the government can do, hence the inauguration to kick start activities.
“Even at the federation level, we foot the federation’s running cost, including staff salary.
“A lot of activities are on ground. By privilege, I am the President of NVBF so I believe the Voce Chairman should always be available and if not, he should delegate someone,” he said.
The board comprises of Engineer Musa Nimrod (Chairman), Professor Simon Daniel (Vice Chairman), Professor Mukhtari Mahmud (Member), Major Julius Usman Gidanmana (Member) and Ekene Adams (Member).
Others are, Sidi Ali (Member Para-military), Jacob Onjewu Dickson (Member), Charity Filibus (Member), Awo Seba Jefferson (member), Danjuma Dangana (Member) and Florence Yori (Secretary).
