Nigeria’s Internet Users Increase To 134m In 2021

Nigeria’s users of the Internet increased to 134. 8 million in 2021, so said the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC).

NCC made this known to newsmen in Abuja at the weekend.
According to the NCC, Airtel, MTN and Glo gained more internet subscribers during the year in review while 9mobile was on the slow side. 
The data showed that nearly the overall internet users increased by 100, 304, 746 in December, indicating an increase of 5, 347, 903.
The Data breakdown revealed that MTN gained the most with 3, 478, 90, with the new internet users increasing its subscription in December to 43, 069, 579 from 38, 428, 319 in November.
It also revealed that 9mobile lost 72, 413 internet users in December falling from its subscription to 18, 334, 870 as against November when it recorded 18, 665, 797.
The report showed also that Airtel gained the most with 1, 911,509 in December amounting to 45, 903, 203 users as against 28, 704, 761 users in November.
