NSCDC Deploys 2,000 Personnel For Christmas, New Year In Oyo State

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Michael Akintayo Adaralewa on Monday disclosed that the command has deployed 2,000 of its personnel to some strategic locations in the state for the Christmas and New year festivities.

Commandant Adaralewa who stated this while addressing personnel of  the command asked the people of Oyo state to be security conscious during the festive period.
The NSCDC Commandant said the deployment was aimed at ensuring a crime free Christmas and New year celebration throughout the  state as well as to ensure water tight security in the state  before, during and after the Christmas and New year celebration.
” Be vigilant and security conscious anywhere you are and alert NSCDC near you while we as organization would do the needful to protect the lives and property of residents in the state”, he said 

Commandant Adaralewa then tasked the deployed officers and men to be disciplined, patriotic,and Civil in dealing with the public as every Nigerian deserves respect devoid of humiliation  and intimidation.  Charging Christian faithfuls to use of the festive season to pray for peace in the Country, be benevolent and moderate in celebration, the Oyo state NSCDC Commandant called on the people of the state to warn their children and wards to desist from any act that can threaten the peace of the state and refrain from throwing fire cracker especially now that Dry Season and Harmattan are fully here with us, and as such, the tendency for a fire-out break is very high during this period of the year
