It was women empowerment and gender equality in politics organized by Friends of Hamza Al-Mustapha Association (FOHAA) in Kaduna that witnessed a mammoth crowd of mostly women from all demographics of life that came to identify with the aspirations of the founder, Hamza Al-Mustapha.
He expressed joy that Mrs6ď Eunice Yahaya and her team of courageous and fearless Women who defiled the fear of insecurity, the women especially, the FCT Coordinator Hon. Sandra Obasi, the FCT secretary, Hon. Chinyere Odii, the Kebbi state Women leader, Hajiya Maryam Hassan, the Zamfara State Women Leader, Hajiya Sa’adiya and many other Women I cannot remember their names, that, rendered great physical support and assistance to the success of FOHAA National Women summit that took place in Kaduna State on the 27th November 2021.
He appreciated and thanked God Almighty for making the summit a success and for leading all FOHAA members to attend the meeting.
The chairman of the occasion, Mr Timothy Adamu, observed that the summit carries the best in attendance, describing FOHAA is a tool of nation building, unity and national cohesion.
He described Hamza Al-Mustapha as a detribalised Nigerian, saying that he is a man that has gone through the eyes of the needle and comes out clean, an embodiment of unity.
In her remarks, the National women leader of FOHAA, Mrs Eunice Yahaya, noted that Dr Al-Mustapha is a uniting force in Nigeria and a man who recognizes and respect the place of the woman.
According to her Al-Mustapha always treat women with dignity, hence has proven by doing all he is doing to ensure the empowerment of women irrespective of any different in all parts of the country.
She noted that it is not all men who respect women or see them as an asset in politics or life in general, saying, “But Dr Al-Mustapha Hamza is not only a just man, but also a man who recognizes and appreciates the potentials and contributions of women to political and national development.”
She stated that the women are confident that with such a man at the helm of affairs, assuring that women would be given room to thrive and do exploits with Al-Mustapha Hamza at the helm of affairs.
“Women empowerment is a critical aspect to achieving gender equality. It includes increasing a woman’s sense of self-worth, her decision making power, her access to opportunities and resources, her power and control over her inside and outside the home, and her ability to effect change. Women are the engine room that will move Nigeria to her destiny,” Mrs Eunice Yahaya explained.
