*Vows to partner BFN in growing game

Arewa Badminton Club Chairman, Imran Usman Jibrin has emerged Chairman of Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria (ABCIN).
He achieved the feat at their election held on Saturday, after a thorough screening on Friday at the Sani Abacha Stadium Gymnasium Hall in Bauchi.
He claimed the chairmanship position unopposed, after contender, Aminu Galadima of BUK Badminton Club stepped down, thereby, getting all the 86 votes.
Esther Daniel of Gombe Badminton Club defeated Sunny Hule of Mambila Badminton Club to the Vice Chairman position by 69-22 votes.
Kolo Jibril Mamman emerged Secretary after beating Ibrahim Zakari of BUK Badminton Club by 64 to 24 votes.
All other positions were won unopposed.
In an interview with our correspondent, the new ABCIN Chairman vowed to hit the grounds running.
He assured of working with the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) in making the game a delight of all in the country.
Imran further assured of ensuring the gaps of Badminton between Northern and Southern clubs in Nigeria is closed within the shortest possible time.
