Apostle Emmanuel Bako of Good News Power Base Church in Kafanchan, has urged the Federal government not to relent in its responsibility to ensure the welfare of Nigeria Armed Forces personnel.
The Cleric spoke on Sunday during a commemoration church service to mark the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration observed throughout the Country.
Apostle Bako noted that Nigerians should not forget too soon the gallant role played by Soldiers who fought during the civil war to ensure the unity of Nigeria.
“The Federal Government owns the responsibility to cater for the families of the departed heroes and ensure the well-being of most of them still alive,” he said.
He said that it was also, the responsibility of the Church to pray for the Nigerian Army  as they fight to protect the Nation’s territorial integrity and ensure protection of lives and property especially during insurgency.
“Nigeria was going through a lot of security challenges, Nigerians must remain resolute and determined that things would change for the better.
The Cleric commended the Nigeria Army especially for ensuring relative peace in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the country and urged the personnel not to be deterred.
The service witnessed representatives of Armed Forces personnel and the Para-military while special prayers were offered for the  Nation especially crisis ridden areas including Benue State.
