Immigration Service Promotes 42 In Zamfara

The Zamfara stYate Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has decorated 42 newly promoted officers with various ranks.

Performing the decoration at the state headquarters of the Command in Gusau on Wednesday, the Zamfara State Controller of the Service,  Alhaji Muhammad Habib Ghazali said in is the first time in the history of the Command that 42 officers will get promoted at the same period.

Ghazali disclosed that over 8000 officers have received due promotions through the efforts and motivational strategy introduced by the Comptroller General of Immigration (CGI) which is targeted at boosting the morale of young officers toward achieving desired result.

The State Controller said this gesture by the CGI is unique in the history of Immigration Service.

“This gesture breaks the chains of stagnation in the  Service thereby affording due promotions to deserving officers, ” he said.

Ghazali added that the new development will not only effectively enhance quality and vigilance but also increase dedication and reliability in the services of the command.

The promotions ranges from the rank of a senior inspector to the rank of Deputy Controller.
