The National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea has commended the NFF for securing a major sponsorship deal with energy giants, AITEO, for all the national teams.
Speaking with the press, Ikpea described the deal as timely and good for the fortunes of Nigerian football.
“I want to commend Amaju Pinnick and his board for successfully securing this deal for our national teams. It is, indeed, timely and also portends good fortunes for Nigerian football, ” Ikpea said.
While also applauding NFF over the new deal, the President of Freestan football club, Prince Efemena Elutabe, enthused that it would put NFF and the handlers of the various national teams and particularly, the Super Eagles in a proper frame of mind effectively execute the onerous assignments of qualifying the team for the forthcoming AFCON and World Cup.
” I am very delighted that this deal was secured for the national teams, ” Elutabe remarked.
Continuing, he said, ” I believe it would also ensure that the NFF have funds to execute its avowed programmes, particularly, at the grassroots level, which without a doubt, is the bedrock of meaningful sports growth and development, ” he added.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday, the NFF secured a five year sponsorship deal with energy giants, AITEO worth N2.5 billion.
