I would like to be remembered with getting Kaduna United back to NPFL – Ismaila Lulu
By; Jacob Onjewu Dickson, Kaduna.
Seeing Kaduna United promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and being successful there is a legacy I would like to be remembered for, ex Green Eagles star, Ismaila Lulu has said.
He made the prayer, while speaking to New Nigerian Sports at his residence in Kaduna after Jumaat prayers on Friday.
“My prayer is that I want to leave a legacy with the state team, Kaduna United. I want to see the team gain promotion to the NPFL, that would be a legacy I would like to achieve for my state and the entire country,” Lulu who started playing football with Zaria 11 in 1957 explained.
He stressed that bringing Kaduna United to limelight would be a good way to be remembered when he finally quits the world.
The 77-year old ex Nigeria international said that he was part of the founding fathers of the team and was happy to be with the team under the chairmanship of Emmanuel Babayaro as a technical adviser.
“Another legacy I would be leaving for my great grand children is a photograph where the late Governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa was presenting an award to me,” he added.
