With the excruciating pains of insurgents’ activities meted on hundreds of people, leaving many communities ravaged by the deviant Boko Haram group in Northern Adamawa State, a politician has said,  the area is yet to fully recover from the many woes.

A Senatorial aspirant from the Northern Zone, Honourable Sanda Umar Iya said Boko Haram’s  activities have badly dealt with the people, with women and youth  worst afflicted, battling to survive  the battered economy.

The Madagali-born   hopeful  said that his agenda when elected to the red chambers of the National Assembly as Senator, he will work on many bills, laws, and resolutions that will change the ugly situation of the people in the zone, especially the youth who are the backbone of the society.

He said his reasons for prioritizing  youth in one of his missions in life is to leverage their strength by helping them achieve success in many areas of their calling that will make them engage positively with no room for idleness.

According to him, idleness is the major reason that made Boko Haram activities to thrive in the country and the youth are coerced and deceived by the gimmicks of the insurgents.

In his focus on the youth, Sanda revealed, will bring back a glorious life to the zone and they will live  productive lives that will benefit the country at large.

Umar who has widely consulted stakeholders and met with the All Progressives Congress (APC), delegates in the five local government areas of Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Madagali and Michika, preaching the message that he will provide  better representation, while he donated cars to many party stalwarts and his supporters.

“I will consider the youth in the area of education, I will create an enabling environment for them through empowerment programmes. I will entirely set a new agenda that will liberate women who are into businesses and farming.

” I will have a direct focus to change the narratives of poverty and underdevelopment and give a better and a hopeful representation to my people. The vision I have set in motion long ago, I’m only actualizing it now, ” Sanda revealed.

The business magnate said that his philanthropical lifestyle  is endearing   the people to him because of his contentment to share all he has with them.

He said the senatorial contest to represent the people of Adamawa Northern zone will produce a God-desired Senator and he is confident that the people are with him to give the needed support to win the election in 2023.

He however, said that he doesn’t see it as a big deal coming from the same local government area as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and has a vested interest in his party winning.

Sanda said  that APC is the strongest party in Adamawa, adding that his membership of the party is what will give PDP a big blow of defeat because he is the man of the moment, and a man of the people.

Sanda, one of the young aspirants who is barely 45 years old, said he is having high regards for  senior politicians like former governor, Bala James Ngilari, Senator Binta Masi Garba, and former governor Boni Haruna, and Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, which he says he respects and holds them in high esteem.

However,  he said, he is contesting not to challenge them to a popularity contest, but  doing the politics based on  democratic norms.

“Politics is all about interests, I’m only contesting. I’m just trying my luck, if I clinch the APC ticket, I’m sure they will rally round to support me because  I’m their younger brother.

” Above all, unity of purpose in making sure peace is ensured in all our communities.

” I’m assuming  our kinsmen and supporters that I will make our people happy and good leaders will emerge, because without good leaders, our lives will be in shambles and nothing good will come out for our people.” Sanda stressed.
