*PDP harvests APC decampeed

House of Representatives hopeful for Wase Federal Constituency, Barrister Ibrahim Kanje Bawa (SAN) has vowed to defeat the incumbent, Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase at the National Assembly polls in 2023.
Speaking to New Nigerian Newspapers in Jos, Barrister Bawa maintained that the people of the constituency are going to vote out Wase because of his poor performance.
According to him, ” my people are now asking some pertinent questions about the lack of dividends of democracy with Wase as their representative without any concrete thing to show since 2007.”
He said, with his experience as a former director of legal services at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), he would represent the area better.
The SAN emphasized the the need for sound education, health provision and roads construction are among some constituency projects needing attention.
The politician regretted that electorate in the constituency are suffering before moving their farm products, due to poor roads network.
He described as unacceptable to the people of Wase town, a situation where the Deputy Speaker cannot visit the headquarters of his local government area.
The renowned legal luminary explained that the people were neglected by the lawmaker, who ran away from the electorate.
In another development, no fewer than 40 decampees from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wase Local Government Area have dumped their party for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of 2023 election.
Among the decampees received by the state chairman of PDP alongside the local government party chairman, is a former chairman of Wase Local Government Council, Hassan Garba who described APC in the area as a dead horse.
The political event which was held at the headquarters of the local government council, attracted dignitaries and all the people of the community, who came out en mass to welcome decampeed to the main opposition party in the state.
The local government chairman, Mr Sale Hamman explain that the movement of the decampees to the opposition party in the state was because of the poor performance of APC in all the structures of the state.
According to him, the people of the constituency are now desirous of change in the coming election in 2023.
