I Have Never Considered PDP As An Opposition In Ebonyi, APC Chairman Says

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Stanley Emegha has said that he has never considered the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as an opposition in Ebonyi State because they lack unity, strength and organization.
He said   that in their present state,  they won’t win any elective position come 2023 general elections.
Chief Emegha while reacting to the recent sack of the state chairman of PDP, Mr.Tochukwu Okorie by the Federal High Court,  said that before now, it was few disgruntled elements that were parading themselves in  the party, but with the court pronouncement and subsequent swearing-in of another person, it implies that the party has more troubles than expected, noting that since Governor Umahi defected in 2020, the party died in Ebonyi State.
The APC Chairman further noted that the recent development has no bearing on the activities of his party because PDP has never been a viable opposition in the state since Governor David Umahi abandoned the party.
“For me, how can a political party which could not elect its leaders in a manner acceptable by the law boast of any relevance. 
“Let me tell you that, if they want let them appoint anybody as a chairman, they cannot win even single elective position in the state come 2023 general elections.
“Ebonyi PDP is just a group of ungrateful, barbaric, unscrupulous people seeking for relevance at all costs.
“I have never considered PDP as an opposition because it lacks unity, strength and organisation as a political party. 
“Immediately Governor  David Nweze Umahi defected to APC in November 2020, opposition political party died in Ebonyi. 
“How can a political party without a structure in terms of leadership  and also that operates from a hotel be dreaming of even tangible success. PDP is totally abysmal. “If this is a misfortune or debacle, please let them sought themselves out and learn not be jumping the gun by following due process because this is not the era where PDP was in charge of the country and was allowing impunity and abuse of process to be the order of the day,” he said.
The chairman also pointed out that few days ago, some PDP social media influencers started peddling fake news that Umahi has withdrawn his presidential ambition, stating that it is the handiwork of some desperate politicians who want to tarnish the image of the governor because of their selfish political interests.
“Just yesterday also, the PDP rats saturated the media with fake news saying that my governor, Chief David Nweze Umahi has dropped his presidential ambition. 
“In a swift response to that unfounded allegation, I told the APC faithful and Nigerians at large to discountenance the rumour because it was the handiwork of evil minded PDP members who never wished the people any good”. 
The Ebonyi APC Chairman  however, emphasized that the sacked state PDP Chairman, Okorie who lacks political will and ideology to run a united party is as good as the incumbent.
