The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  won Saturday’s councilorship election for Narayi Ward, Chikun Local Government Area with 2,327 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress Candidate (APC).
The APC candidate,  Ms Rahila Bivan who was a PDP councilor, in 2018, before defecting to the All Progressives Congress, scored only  526 votes.
The returning officer, Mr. Nuhu K. Zakka announced the results at Narayi LEA Primary School.
He said, Hon. Sunday Dimka Ayuba scored the highest number of votes, and returned elected.
There was jubilation  in the Peoples Democratic Party camp, where members were seen expressing joy over the outcome of the elections.
It would be recalled that in March, 2018, primary election of Peoples Democratic Party, Mrs.Bivan, slugged it out with Mr. Sunday Dimka Ayuba, and was declared winner after the third round of the primaries, that took place at the party’s head office in Kaduna metropolis.
Mr Sunday who won the first two out of the three primaries conducted in 2018, accepted the outcome in good faith, and called on his supporters to see the outcome as the will of God.
The councilor elect also thanked the people of Narayi for voting his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
He also called on APC members, to come, join hands and move Narayi forward.
