A Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Society for Family Health (SFH) on Tuesday said it would begin listing of houses in Kaduna ahead of the HIV/AIDs National Survey.
Aisha Dadi AYP Specialist Global Fund disclosed this in Kaduna.
Dadi said the listing will run from October 26 to November 1, 2016 in three Local Government Areas in Kaduna while the actual survey commences on November 3.
She said three local governments were selected for the research and they include Lere, Chikun and Sabon Gari.
The survey she said was coming from the fact that globally there has been a decline in HIV/AIDS both prevalent and new infections among all age groups except among adolescents.
“This rather surprisingly is showing an increase in both new infections and death among them”.
She added that the survey is an attempt to understand why it is happening among the age group and strategically put measures in place to ensure it is control.
Dadi appealed to parents to comply and give their children support so that HIV/Aids situation can be addressed.

“I am calling on all parents to please assist us by encouraging their children to participate in this national survey so that we can address the situation.
“Parents should encourage their children to say the truth to data collectors so that at the end of the day, the analysis will reflect the true picture of the challenge adolescents and young persons are facing can be addressed.
She said the high prevalence of the scourge among adolescent is worrisome, adding that the virus is killing the productive youths in the state.
