Following the wanton killing and destruction of property in Benue State, the MASSOB and IPOB have resolved to deploy over 10,000 of their members to checkmate any possible attack by the members of the Miyetti Allah, group of herdsmen in the South-East and South-South geo-political zone in the country.

The two militant groups MASSOB and IPOB said they have finalized arrangements to deploy over 10,000 of their members to secure the southeast against the ceaseless attacks by the Fulani herdsmen.

According to them, “we are ready and would not fold our hands to see the Fulani herdsmen invading, attacking and destroying lives and properties of the people in the South east and other areas.

They, however, warned the Fulani herdsmen to stay away from Southeast and its environs and should not dare to launch any attack, and that they would not allow what happened in EnuguState in 2017 and what is happening inBenue State now to take place in the South east and south-south.

MASSOB Leader, Ralph Uwazuruike who spoke to Journalists in Owerri through one of his deputies, Emmanuel Omenka said MASSOB would go to any length in protecting the lives and properties of the people.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) also, through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful has warned the Fulani herdsmen to keep off from the Southeast and not to venture to launch any attack against the good, reasonable and industrious people of the South east, stressing that if any attack on the Southeast, or Biafra land happens, the retaliations from IPOB could never be imagined.

He decried the attitude of the South east governors and the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo towards IPOB, saying that other regional governors have for long been is supportive of their agitating groups.
