Wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast, have faith and imbibe the virtues of satisfaction as the current hardship in the country would soon become a thing of the past.
Mrs Ajimobi said this at her Ajumose Food Bank Initiative where over 9,000 individuals from Ona-Ara, Oluyole, Akinyele, Egbeda, Lagelu, Ido, and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas of the state benefited.
According to Mrs Ajimobi, the present situation in the country requires every individual to remain steadfast, have faith and imbibe the virtues of satisfaction and contentment in order to cope with the situation.
“The present situation is very unfortunate, the harsh economy is difficult to bear but I can assure you that our leaders are working round the clock to ameliorate our sufferings. Let us continue to pray and believe and I am optimistic that God will answer our prayers and the country will be right back on track,”she said.
Mrs Ajimobi stressed that Oyo state government on its part is committed “to helping its citizens weather the storm of the economic recession and support them by providing food items on quarterly basis in order to alleviate the sufferings in the state.
The wife of Oyo state governor while tasking women in the state to monitor their children’s activities and cater for all their needs so as not to be lured into societal ills, urged them to discourage their children from late night crawling to protect them from armed robbers and kidnappers.
She attributed the reigning peace and stability in Oyo state to God and Governor Ajimobi whose will-power to purge the state of every outlaw and night marauders brought unprecedented peace to the state.
The Ajumose Food Bank marked its third outing and the 18th Local Government visitation since the re-launch of the Food Bank Initiative and food items such as rice, garri, semolina amongst others were distributed to the beneficiaries.
