Harbour Cultists, Armed Robbers, Lose Your House, Lagos Monarch Warns

The efforts of the Police at curbing criminal activities in Lagos received a boost, as a traditional ruler in the state vowed to revoke the title and seize henceforth any house in which cultists or armed robbers are arrested in his domain.
The Ojora of Ijora and Iganmu kingdom His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulfatai Aremu Aromire who gave the warning, said such action is imperative if the war against crime and criminality must be won.
Speaking at security stakeholders meeting in his palace, the first class monarch posited that the state government has invested huge amount of money on security. adding that its efforts must be compliment by all and sundry.
Noting that the Police have performed creditably well in their duties in reducing crime to its barest minimum, the monarch asserted that all hands must be on deck in assisting them to tackle any form of criminal act in the society.
Vowing that no one will be spared if caught, the traditional ruler urged all the landlords to be vigilant and be the watchdog in their communities and report any criminal activities to the police for prompt action.
Saying that the warning to revoke the land title and seizure of erring land Lord is not a mere threat, Aromire explained that all the parcels of land in his domain were given out leasehood and could be revoked at any time.
He implored parents to warn their children on the implication of engaging in cultism and armed robbery, vowing such acts would not be tolerated in his domain.
His words, “Since the arrival of the DPO of Badia Police station SP. Kayode Ayeni, we have witnessed peace in our community and any body that may want to disrupt the peace would be dealt with decisively according to the law. For the incessant clashes and crisis usually caused by the youth not to reoccur, we should report bad conducts to the police so that it can be nip I’m the bud.
The state government has spent a lot of money on security so that out lives and property will be secured and this must be supported by making sure that we don’t condone acts of criminality.
As a result of this, any house or houses that a cultist or armed robber if found will henceforth have it’s title revoked and seized by the Ojora family. Our land is not sold. but given out on lease hood and it can be revoked at anytime”.
