Handball: FRSC Coach optimistic of winning Banjoko Premier League

As the maiden edition of the Banjoko Oil and Gas Handball Premier League ends today in Kaduna, Head Coach of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) teams; Safety shooters and Safety Babes, Bala Mohammed on Friday expressed optimism  that his players were capable of winning the league.
Mohammed expressed this after winning his 9th match by defeating Sea- Siders of Lagos 42-30 at the on-going National League.
He said that his confidence was hinged on his team’s hard work and dedication.
“Safety Shooters have played almost all the participating teams and won their matches except one which we drew since the beginning of the league.
“The outcomes of our matches have been wonderful and exciting because we work hard for it and we are getting good results that we wanted.
“Our Female team is also not left behind with winning and I am glad we are moving forward.
“The league has been highly competitive but I am happy we have been victorious in our matches.”
He said the players are learning from all the matches played and hope to build up a stronger team.
Also speaking, Coach of Kano Pyramids, Solomon Yola said the performance of his players was commendable.
According to him, the players responded well by playing well in all the matches played so far. “I am happy our matches so far have yielded good results even though we lost some.
“My players made me proud in the league and I am sure we are coming out in a comfortable position.”
Yola added that the team looks forward to recording a better performance in the next match and will prepare well to win to boost their morale.
In other matches played in the male category, Niger United beat Plateau Vipers 38-20.
In the female category, Edo Dynamous beat Sea Siders of Lagos 35-21.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi has approved the reappointment of Mr Ishmael Olalekan Alli as Secretary to the Oyo State Government, (SSG).
The governor announced the reappointment through a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan signed by his Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy, Mr. Yomi Layinka.
Mr Alli was the SSG during Governor Ajimobi’s first term and has been functioning as SSG designate since the commencement of the second term of the Governor Ajimobi led administration in June, last year.
