A non-governmental organization “Rights Without Violence” convener, Dr. Ahmad Jibrin Suleiman has warned Machiavellian politicians who are capitalizing on the Fulani herdsmen/farmers crisis not only in taking sides and alliances but in manipulating these negative fault lines.

He gave the warning while addressing a press conference in Zaria. The convener said, “we cannot sit down helplessly and watch ourselves over the precipice into self-destruction.”

Dr. Suleiman who expressed shock not only by the hypertensive tone of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) but the dangerous development of Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI) in joining issues.

According to the organization, much innocent blood has being spilled on the false premises of “herdsmen communal crisis”, while behind there is nefarious intolerance and inhumanity.

The organization further called on the Federal Government to ensure that for every life lost or allowed to be lost,   a security officer is held  responsible in every ward, for failure to protect or report criminal conspiracies before hand, attracting severe penalty

“No state should be allowed to train a militia under whatever pretext, the anti-grazing law should be investigated and dealt with decisively.

“Enough is enough, we have gone too far, government must set up a special task force to investigate all the inhuman killings of innocent Nigerians from Zango-Kataf, Plateau, Tafawa Balewa, Yelwan Shandam, Ibbi, Wukari, Mambila, Adamawa and Zamfara and ensure punitive measures not only against the perpetrators but including these security or public officers whose silence, omissions or acquiescence allowed for these heinous atrocities.

Dr. Ahmad Jibrin Suleiman said if decisive measures were taken to deal with this indigene/citizen dichotomy, no Nigerian would be made to suffer the present inequalities for no crime committed other than being a supposedly non-indigene.

While commending Plateau State Governor Solomon Lalong for the maturity and fear of God exhibited by resisting to join the band wagon of Benue and Taraba, the organization cautioned the others to change their attitude.

The group warned the likes of Femi Fani-Kayode’s alliance of taking sides in religious, hate speech, hidden behind so called herdsmen/farmers that they will not succeed on the contract they engaged themselves to destroy Nigeria just as Libya, South Sudan, Rwanda and Yugoslavia.
