Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Malam Bashir Jamoh has been urged to seek election into Kaduna Government House come 2023 as he has the capacity to continue with the good works of development and provision of security of the incumbent, Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
Making the plea a political group in Kaduna, National Democratic Group in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Adekeye, explained that the choice of the NIMASA DG is coming on the wings of the transformation he brought to the agency which makes him an astute administrator and as so qualifies him to replace the present governor in the next election.
“The governor has put in place structures only people and administrators like the NIMASA DG has the capacity to replicate, hence our choice.”
“Malam Jamoh has the ability to further make Kaduna greater. Judging from what Governor El-Rufai did while Minister of the FCT and what he has done in state it’s pertinent to ensure that only square pegs are put in square holes.”
According to him, “as political observers it behove on us to ensure that only the right people are given the opportunity to impact on the lives of the governed. We know that with the governor making himself an institution in terms of his developmental stride the NIMASA DG should be the next occupant of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House come 2023.”
