*leads government delegation to funeral prayer ( Janazah)

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya ( Dan Majen Gombe) has commiserated with Kaltungo Chiefdom over the demise of Wazirin Kaltungo, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa who passed on in the early hours of Saturday at the age of 93.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, dated Saturday December 11, 2021.
The Governor in company of the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Commissioners, Special Advisers and other officials had earlier attended the funeral prayer (Janazah) of the late nonagenarian and that of the Mai’s driver, Garba Abashe held at the palace of Mai Kaltungo.
Governor Yahaya described the death of the late traditional title holder and senior council member as a huge loss, not only to Kaltungo community, but the state in general.
” We have indeed lost a great man and strong pillar not only in Kaltungo Chiefdom or Tangale Waja but in Gombe State as a whole. The late Waziri was a sincere ally of the Mai and repository of knowledge and history whose fatherly advice and scholarly role will be greatly missed; but Alhamdulillah the deceased lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy of honour “.
“I want use this medium to, on behalf of the Gombe State Government, commiserate with the Mai Kaltungo, Engr Sale Mohammed, the Kaltungo Chiefdom and the bereaved family members, including those of the Mai’s driver, Garba Abashe who also died today. It is my sincere prayer that Almighty Allah will grant them Aljannat Firdaus and give their respective families the fortitude to bear the losses “.
Shortly after the funeral prayer, a special prayer session was held at the chamber of Mai Kaltungo.
