*lays foundation for Vocational training center

Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has recently launched an empowerment programme, to 1,000 women and Youth with N100 million, in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State with a view to boosting the economic growth through job creation.
The disbursement for the 1,000 beneficiaries was made through the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Poverty Alleviation by the Commissioner, Honourable Saina Buba, where each of the beneficiaries, received the sum of one hundred thousand Naira (100,000).
In his remarks during the flagging off ceremony in Biu Town, Governor Zulum said more is coming, urging the beneficiaries to make good use of it, while assuring them that his administration will continue to support the local government area.
Subsequently, Governor Zulum also flagged off construction of a vocational training center in Biu Town, assuring that completion of the project would be within six months.
