Gov Okorocha expresses worry over few appointments of Imo indigenes by FG

Imo state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha has expressed deep worry, over what he described as insufficient appointment of the state indigenes by the federal government into key positions.
According to him, Imo people are not comfortable with the development, pointing out that they played their part in actualizing the present administration at the federal level.
The Governor who was speaking in Owerri while welcoming the speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, suggested that the people of the state could be compensated with the provision of infrastructures that would help in the development of the state.
He made it clear that the state has little or nothing to show for its efforts in helping to vote-in the present government.
Governor Okorocha said, “As we want for more appointments to come from the Federal Government, more infrastructure should be provided for the state”.
According to him, the federal government should look at the poor state of the federal roads in the state, describing the state as erosion prone.
He was particular about the Owerri-Port Harcourt road, Owerri-Okigwe-Enugu road, which are presently in very bad state, and as such delays movement.
Governor Okorocha also lamented the growing number of unemployed graduates and called on the federal government to also create opportunities for the unemployed youths.
Earlier, the speaker, Rt. Hon. Dogara, noted that the present administration in the state has actually performed by the provision of dividends of democracy to the people.
