The Plateau State government said it received with great shock the news of the abduction of Sheikh Abdulazeez Yusuf, Administrative Secretary, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), and Leader, Nurudeen Society of Nigeria, around Saminaka, Kaduna State.
A statement from the office of Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Dan Manjang said “this evil act to say the least, is most condemnable.
“The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, on behalf of himself, family and the entire people of Plateau State, hereby condemns this act in its entirety“.
The governor sympathized with the Muslim Umah and the Nurudeen Society in this travail.
He has therefore called for calm as a machinery has been put in place in conjunction with the Kaduna State government to ensure that Sheikh Abdulazeez Yusuf is not only released in good health but unconditionally, and in the shortest possible time.
He warns that government will not take it kindly with criminals who take the law into their hands, adding that the full weight of the law will be placed on hoodlums in the state.
