Governor Bala Muhammed has described as sad and unfortunate the wicked and dastardly act of smashing the skull of an 11-year-old Almajiri Qur’anic school pupil removing his brain at Kofar Wambai area of Bauchi metropolis.
The Governor was expressing this while mourning on Thursday during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased, reiterating that his administration would not condone any act of criminality in the state.
Senator Bala Mohammed vowed to collaborate with security agencies in the state in order to fish out the culprit and punish him, to serve as a deterrent to others alike who always want to cheat people.
The governor who was represented by the commissioner for Religious Affairs Umar Babayo Kesa, advised communities in the state to continue to be vigilant and to alert the nearest security agencies to for prompt action.
He explained that government would not take it lightly with anybody found wanting over the death of this innocent boy, as he directed security personnel to track and arrest anybody found to have had hands in this dastardly act.
Mohammed condoled the families of the deceased, and sympathized with them, praying to Allah to give the family the fortitude bear to bear the irreparable loss.
State Chairman of Traditional Quranic Schools, Bauchi Alaramma Zakariyau Dauduwo who was also part of the entourage, expressed dismay over the killing of the innocent Qur’anic school pupil and condoled with families of the victim.
Dauduwo urged members of the community to continue to pray to Allah to expose who ever has a hand in the killing of this innocent boy.
Qur’anic teacher of the pupil, Alaramma Muhammadu Auwalu expressed gratitude to the state government for their concern. He said the biological father of the deceased take the incident as an act of destiny even though they will not stop government and security agencies in bringing the culprits to book.
It could be recalled last Saturday an unknown person lured two Quranic School pupils to corner with a pledge to give them food but instead used a stone to smash the skull of one of them.
The act culminated to the removal of brains of one of the two pupils the culprit lured, as the other boy run for safely though with blood stains over his body after having seen horrific act.
The boy informed their teacher about the happening, who promptly rushed to the scene of the incident only to find the boy dead with his body in full blood. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
