Give judgement with fear of God, Nyako charges new judges

Judges in Adamawa State are free to decide cases but must always remember God, the supreme judge, Governor Murtala Hamman Yero Nyako has said.
Swearing in three Judges of the State Customary Court of Appeal, nine new permanent Secretaries and the Chairman of Song Local Government Area in the state, Governor Murtala Nyako urged judges to always administer Judgment with dispatch and with impartiality so that justice should not only be done with fairplay and respect for the law but seen to be done bearing in mind that “Justice delayed is justice denied”, pointing out also that “Justice, fairplay and respect for the law are keys to harmony and peaceful co-existence”.
Governor Nyako described Justice and honesty as the terms of having a stable and progressive society, maintaining that any society that is not stable is bound to face danger.
He challenged Judges in the state to strive to make Adamawa Judiciary a shining example ofJustice and fair play in Nigeria.
He said government is committed more than ever before to do more for the people of the state and looks forward to greater contributions by the new judges
He commended the National Judicial Council (NJC) for approving the appointment of the Judges.
The new Judges are Hon- Justice Henry Bello Tsugeldaya, the former chief Registrar of the State High Court of Justice Yola, Hon Justice Peter Wazilda, the former Interim Chief Registrar of the State Customary Court of Appealyola and Hon Justice Jacob Ndawalam, a private legal practitioner in the State. The President of the State Customary Court of Appeal is Justice Lagre.
Responding on behave of the new Judges, Hon. Justice Henry Bello Tsugeldaya said they will be loyal to the Government and abide strictly by their oaths of office in the discharge of their duties.
Turning to the nine newly appointed permanent secretaries, governor Nyako told them to brace up for the challenges ahead as according to him , his administration now is poised more than ever before to impact positively on the lives of the citizenry of the state in the remaining two and a half years of his tenure.
Also speaking on behalf of the permanent secretaries, Mr. Fwah promised to ensure efficient implementation of the governmentprogrammes and policies in the state.
The nine new permanent secretaries are Mohammed Gidado Sa’ad Femi Fwah, Garba Ahmad, Umaru Bojam and Abubakar Baba- Kano.
The rest are EnochUgbe, Bala Usman, Ibrahim Emmanuel and Kennedy Dauda. The new Chairmanof Song Local Government in Sa’adu Tahir.
